150 Aadyantians Present the Ramleela
More
than 150 Aadyantians, from 2 to 4 years of age, took
part in a colourful and thought-provoking Ramleela
Presentation on stage in front of a huge gathering of
parents, dignitaries and educationists the other day.
The kids presented the Ramayana in capsule form and the
Chief Guest, Mr. Vijay Singh Lochhav, the MLA from
Mahipalpur, was awestruck at the sheer talent and stage
presence of the little ones.
The scenes that the kids enacted included Dashrath
Durbar, Lord Ram as a toddler, Vishwamitra nurturing the
children, Sita Swayamvar, Kaikeyee’s two wishes,
Departure to the Forest, Golden Deer, Sita Haran, the
battle for Lanka and Diwali.
It was great to see children wearing Ramayana era
costumes with crowns on their heads and bows and arrows
in their hands. The battle-scenes were quite
captivating.
The introduction and welcome speech in Hindi was
delivered by an Israeli student, Moran. An effigy of
Ravana was later put to the flames in celebration of
Dussehra.
